PRACTICE AREAS

 

THE Legal Advocate is a diverse law practice, representing both claimants and employers, that primarily focuses on Administrative Law, including all issues under California's Employment Development Department (EDD) such as Employer Payroll Taxes (Petitions for Reassessment/Review and Misclassified Employees/Independent Contractors), Paid Family Leave (PFL), State Disability Income (SDI), and Unemployment Insurance (UI) claims and redeterminations; California Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board first and second level appeals, as well as writs of administrative mandate to CA Superior Court if necessary.

 

Additionally, THE Legal Advocate represents both claimants and employers before The Department of Industrial Relations' Division of Labor Standards Enforcement (DIR-DLSE) for settlement conferences and Labor Commission "Berman" hearings, as well as provides representation before the Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH)...all the way to judicial, not just administrative, courts to assert a client's right(s).
